We welcome you to worship with us here at Tennille United Methodist Church.

Tennille United Methodist Church offers a traditional worship service at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday morning in the Sanctuary. We draw from the rich symbols and music of the Christian seasons.  Our services are easy to follow along by following the worship program.  Music is led by our organist and the Chancel Choir.  Our pastor strives to communicate the biblical message with passion.  We pray that this service helps bring us into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

How can I participate in the Worship Service?

Our ushers will give you a printed worship program (bulletin) which lists the page numbers for the hymns and readings from the Bible. Both the United Methodist Hymnals and Bibles are located on the back of the pew.. We customarily stand when we sing and recite the creeds of our faith. We sit to hear announcements and the sermon as well as during prayer times. You are invited to read the Scripture lesson with us using the pew Bible.  Ushers and others of the congregation are glad to greet you and help you in any way.  If you are a first time guest, you may fill out a visitor's card and place it in the offering plate during the offering.

Every first Sunday and on special occasions, we celebrate Holy Communion.  As United Methodists, we celebrate open communion, meaning that all are invited to take part in this sacrament.  We come forward to the altar rail for communion, where you may stand or kneel.

Where do my children go during church?

Children of all ages are welcome during our worship services. During the service in the Sanctuary, our pastor shares a teaching moment with the children.  Following the Children’s Sermon, children may leave the Sanctuary and return to the Children's Sunday School Class.  At the conclusion of the service, children may be picked up from Children’s Church.  A nursery is also available for infants and young children.
